Cards (POSA)
Minimum space, maximum product range: our POSA/POR card
Pre-paid and licence cards have become a common sight in traditional retail outlets. The brightly coloured cards offer everything from balance for pre-paid tariffs, to payment methods to in-game credits or licences for games and software.POSA (Point of Sale Activated) cards allow digital products (e.g. online credit, download codes and ....) to be packed as a physical item and made available for purchase by customers in retail outlets. The activation code on the POSA card has no value until purchased and can only be used to obtain the product once it has been activated at the checkout. The POSA and POR card allows customers who would like to give a digital product as a gift or who would rather not enter any credit card or bank details online to purchase the product directly in store and to pay in the way they are used to. The activation code is only activated or printed out at the checkout, ensuring comprehensive security for the retailer.
How the POSA card works:
The POSA (Point of Sale Activation) Card is the packaging concept which allows virtual products, for example computer game licences or game account top-ups, to be packed as a physical item and made available for purchase by customers in retail outlets. The activation code is found on or inside the card and has no value until sold. It can only be used to purchase the product after it has been activated at the checkout. Depending on the product, it can either be activated online, topped up or downloaded.
How the POR card works:
The POR (Print On Receipt) card works similarly to a normal POSA card. However, instead of a card the customer receives a till receipt with an activation code printed on it.
