Is my data saved?
Our focus is customer satisfaction - we want you to be satisfied. If we are to carry out all your orders just the way you want, then we have to save certain data. Firstly, your address, possibly followed by other data which may be necessary for certain methods of payment. During the order process, the respective order data (product, quantity, price etc.) is assigned to your address data.

In addition, we automatically receive certain information from your web browser whenever you access www.contentcard.com. Like many other websites, we also use so-called “cookies” which allow us to show you, for example, the products you last viewed, whilst also helping us to keep on improving the goods and services we offer. If “cookies” are used, data can be saved on your computer when you visit our website. You can prevent cookies from being saved on your computer by setting your browser accordingly. This might, however, mean that we cannot offer such a tailored service.

Is my personal data passed on to third parties?
We process personal data when processing orders and may forward the data needed for this purpose to service providers. In order to carry out our own credit checks, we may request information on creditworthiness from SCHUFA, 65201 Wiesbaden, Creditreform, 90022 Nuremberg, Euler Hermes Kreditversicherungs-AG, D-22763 Hamburg and Dun & Breadstreet Deutschland GmbH, 64295 Darmstadt. SCHUFA saves the fact that a mail order account has been opened and passes on any information as and when it is updated. We also pass on address and negative data to our partners. We may use and transfer lists of addresses for marketing purposes both for ourselves and for our partner companies. You can of course refuse to allow your data to be transferred for advertising purposes at any time. All you need to do is to contact the data protection officer at ContentCard AG (see e-mail address below), who is also happy to help if you need any further information or if you don’t want to receive advertising material from us any more.

How is my personal information protected?
We save and use data to enable us to provide the services stipulated in our contractual relationship and to provide effective customer relationship management. The data may be forwarded to other companies in order to let them send you offers you might be interested in.

We use SSL, one of the most secure encryption methods available at present, in order to protect your data from unauthorised access when being transferred via the Internet.

Do I have a right to object to my data being used?
As a data subject pursuant to the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), you have a right to object to your data being used or transferred for advertising purposes. You also have a right to information and, if certain prerequisites are met, a right to have data which is saved in our files corrected, blocked or deleted.

Is data protection guaranteed by law?
According to the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), data can be processed and used if allowed pursuant to the BDSG or another legal provision or if the data subject has granted his or her consent. The BDSG allows data to be processed and used if this is done within the framework of a contractual relationship or a relationship of trust similar to a contract or to the extent necessary for safeguarding legitimate interests of the party saving the data or a third party, e.g. a recipient, and the subject does not have legitimate interests in preventing data from being processed or used or there any indications that the subject has overriding legitimate interests of this nature.
